I carry a heavy heart
Like trees falling apart.
The mind isn’t strong to pray
A dark hand covers my eyes today.
What meaning is there to being alive?
If not to save this earth, I don’t know why.
The importance of feeling loved
By the trees that love me back with their crowns above
Sheltering and protecting me from the cruelty
This turbulent world and her reality
I don’t fit into the puzzle of the world
But I do nestle nicely where leaves unfurl
Amongst the green I seek solace
To care and be cared for with no malice
The yearning to get away and shut out the noise
I carry on my journey with dignity, with poise.
