The leafy shade beckons
Drawing us away
From the electrifying smell
Of the impending downpour
We hide we hide
In a flash the heavens open
Droplets fall rapidly
Everywhere but underwood
The canopy shelters
A cathedral over our heads
While the outside world gets soaked
We hide we hide
The leaves sway in place
A silent relief
Away from the rain
Safely tucked under wood
