The wild and the bold
Trapped in between the formed
thoughts and actions of the world
The wild need escape
Casting their senses upon their enemies
They bolt amongst the impending doom
of restraints as they close in
The wild start to tunnel
Tracking a path through the woods
The wild run and don’t look back
Only having trust
in the company of trees
Blinded by the light they emerge
Into the blistering sun
they seek solace
A place they needn’t have to run
The leaves have fallen
Covering their tracks
so the chasers
will pursue no longer
Relieved are the wild and free
A chance to be and to see
The truth for what it is
A truth like the old trees
